I was walking around the old Strawbery Banke area in Portsmouth, NH, yesterday morning when I discovered a small clearing. Strawberry Banke is a restored neighborhood dating back to the 17th to mid-20th century. The clearing was scattered with remnants of old stone walls and had a little path leading by some interesting tree formations and then to an old arbor covered with grape vines.

Some of the trees had interesting shapes.

I followed the line of trees to a small meadow.

I was surprised by all the green this time of year.
